HISTORICAL RECORD OF MEETINGS WHERE NO MINUTES AVAILABLE

2017

7 September 2017 - 17 attending. Speaker WBro Paul Gardner on "How to make your Lodge 'Royal' "

Paul entertained us "Royally" as usual, and brought along several historical and relevant artefacts the better to illustrate the topics he covered. Being at our new venue was very well received, too; and we look forward to a positive resurgence in attendees due to the improved surroundings, catering and general standards!

6 July 2017 - Meeting cancelled due to lack of advance bookings.

We have only had to cancel one meeting in the past - the one due to be held on 7 July 2005, the day of the London Tube & bus bombings when so many tragically lost their lives.

We are also told that J-J (the Manager of the Prince of Wales) has asked to leave - and is being moved to a Mayfair pub, so this may also present us with an excellent opportunity to explore other venues (as several of you have requested!) and move to a new home.

4 May 2017 - 21 attending. Speaker - VWBro John Pagella GSuptWks on ''The Origins of the Title, the Rank itself, and what the current job entails'.

Chairman David Baruch opened the meeting...
Matters of interest:
A very entertaining talk indeed, so we hear. Owing to the absence of the Pin (Sec & Webmaster - for the first time in 9 years!) he still awaits further detials.

*****************

2 March 2017 - 28 attending. Speaker - WBro Keith Gilbert PSGD on 'Preparations for the UGLE Tercentenary Celebrations'.

Chairman David Baruch opened the meeting...
Matters of interest:
A very entertaining talk indeed. We became privy to many of the secrets of what the celebrations would entail, and were even shown some of the 'presents' to be given to visiting dignitaries from around the world. What was a surprise, too, was that nobody was really aware of the amount of preparation that has been taking place over the last few years (yes, years!) in the run up to this momentous anniversary.

*****************

12 January 2017 - 29 attending. Speaker - Dr Sandra Beale-Ellis on 'Autism & Freemasonry'

Chairman David Baruch opened the meeting...
Matters of interest:

One of our Founders, Jules Smith was also with us today. We welcomed many first timers, and the Master At Alms tweaked everybody as usual to the amusement of all!

3. While still continuing to accept new Members without a joining charge or 'Membership Fee', to defray expenses new members attending LLs for the first time would be asked to contribute £3 to LLs funds for their badge.

3 March 2016  - 30 attending. General Open Forum

Vice Chairman David Baruch opened the meeting.
Matters of interest:
It was agreed that Speakers should be arranged for whenever possible, whether on Masonic subjects or otherwise, to maximise the interest in and attraction of LLs generally.
It was also agreed that members s should actively publicise LLs in their Masonic units, and a flyer for this purpose would be most advantageous.

*****************

14 January 2016  - 20 attending. Our usual January "Relax after Christmas & show off your pressies" meeting...

Vice Chairman David Baruch opened the meeting.
Matters of interest:

We had hoped to invest the new Chairman Simon Lincoln, but as he is finding it increasingly difficult to get away from work - regretfully it is highly likely that he will not be able to take up his position.
